I wanted to explore brand design, and created a bubble tea company. Bubble tea has always been my go-to place to connect with my friends and family. I created a playful and innocent logo to showcase that fun and social aspect, with the two tapioca pearls as the ‘O’s sharing a drink together. I experimented with different colours, creating a soft, but multicoloured palette to give a calm environment, because bubble tea is a comfort food to many people. The brand name derived from my childhood, where my mother would call baby pacifiers “Choop choops”, and it reminded me of the feeling you get when drinking tapioca pearls through a straw.
